Washington School Shooting: Fourth girl dies.

Shaylee Chuckulnaskit -

A fourth student shot in last week’s deadly shooting at a Washington state high school has died, according to a local hospital.

Shaylee Chuckulnaskit, who was shot by a classmate among five other teens inside Marysville-Pilchuck High School's cafeteria last week, was pronounced dead Friday at Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett.

The 14-year-old had been fighting for her life in critical condition after a popular high school freshman called her and four other friends to a lunch table before pulling out a handgun and opening fire on Oct. 24, police said.

In an emotional statement released by the teen's family Friday evening, they expressed how their "hearts are broken" in having to now move on without her in their lives.

"Shay means everything to us. In Shay’s short life she has been a radiant light bringing us incredible joy and happiness. She has been a loving daughter, a caring sister, a devoted friend and a wonderful part of our community. We can’t imagine life without her," they stated.

While additionally thanking the support from their family, friends and community they ask for privacy, "so we can grieve our loss."

The senseless shooting, allegedly over a love triangle, also left Zoe Galasso, 14, dead at the scene while Gia Soriano, also 14, was taken off life support two days later.

The gunman, identified as homecoming prince Jaylen Fryberg, 15, took his own life by turning the weapon on himself, police said.

Two other students identified as Fryberg's cousins remain hospitalized.

Those are Andrew Fryberg, 15, who was last listed as in critical condition and Nate Hatch, 14, who recently underwent surgery after being shot in his jaw.

Hatch has since publicly forgiven his shooter, taking to Twitter from his hospital room to write: "I love you and I forgive you jaylen rest in peace."

On Monday classes are set to resume at the beleaguered high school, though the cafeteria where the horrific attack occurred is expected to remain closed.
