HOW TO GET YOUR GENERATOR FUEL TO LAST MUCH LONGER WHEN IN USE

With just a little trick, the petrol in your generator will last much longer.

Funny enough this is about the first time I am posting something completely from me here and I am glad it will be adequately useful to you. Getting the fuel in your generator to last long for you is just so so simple. And considering our challenges with power here, it increasingly becomes even more imperative.

Below is a picture of a Generator Shut off Valve. It is also called Shut off Key. It is the guy responsible for the control of the movement of petrol from your tank down to wherever it will be burnt out. However, this guy is also the key to stopping your fuel from sapping out. With =N=300 naira worth of fuel you will hit 4hours or more depending on how many points (TV, bulbs, etc) you have on, if you use this trick.

Here is the magic. Locate this valve on your generator. Looking at the Valve, you will notice that it has 'on' and 'off' indicators through which the valve switch glides through. Now, each time you wish to run your generator (I advice doing this before topping up more petrol), glide the valve's switch as close as possible to the 'off ' indicator. But don't let is fall on the 'off' indication itself as it will leading to your current flunctuating. Rather make it reasonably close and that will be all. What you have done is to control the volume of fuel you give to the engine to burn. Now observe that your petrol will last much longer for you after this. Note that how close the switch will be to the 'off' indicator will depend on how many points you have active within your house. Now try it and tell us what you found! Cheers!
